Super Simple Way to Resize Your Photos

Use a picture.  It’s worth a thousand words. –Tess Flanders

Have you ever tried to insert an image into your blog or a capture page or heck…even your Christmas cards…only to be told that the image is too large?  You probably got an error message like this:

We all know how important images are in creating professional work.

The good news is that there is an easy way to resize photos for FREE!

If you haven’t seen it before, check out http://www.superresize.me/.

Once you are in the site, your first step will be to upload an image that you want to resize.

Upload the image from your computer.

Special Tip

Be sure that the image you want to resize is one that you have a right to use. If it is something that will go on your blog or in a capture page, it must be an original work of yours or one that is either royalty free or used with express permission. Don’t make the mistake of using photographs belonging to someone else or subject to royalties.

The second step is to tell the resizing system what size you need the photograph to be.

Review the error message you received to know what size to choose. The error message at the beginning of this post said that the maximum photo size allowed in the system I was using is 256kb.

If you scroll down the size options, you’ll see one that says 256 x 256.  So selecting the 256 x 256 option will produce the largest photograph allowed for my system.

Special Tip

Personally, I like the system to stretch/squeeze the picture rather than crop it. You’ll need to determine which choice fits your situation. Cropping may lose critical pieces of the photo, so bear that in mind.

Don’t forget to click the blue “Add to List” button once you select a resize option so that the resize option populates in the box to the right of the choices.

Finally, the resizing system asks you to solve a challenge before clicking the resize button.

After you answer the challenge and click “Resize My Image” you’ll see a screen like this if the resize is successful:

The link option on the far size of the screen gives you the link to the image that you can put into your blog or capture page system.

Special Tip

I recommend that you also save the image to your hard drive so that you’ll have it sized for use in the future. The resizing website does not store your resized images much beyond a few days or a week at the most.

I’ve had great results with this website converting my photos to a useable size.

I hope this helps you! Comment below with questions or to let me know that it was useful to you.
